We have access and preferential booking rates at several great studios, ranging from mix rooms to fully residential recording facilities. Here are some details about a few of the studios we use regularly and of course our ever popular mobile recording rig  for more information please give us a ring.

Leeders Farm Residential Recording Studio

Leeders Farm is an 8 bedroom residential recording studio with luxury accomodation a lake and football pitch in rural Norfolk, about 10 miles from Norwich.  The studio is owned by Dan Hawkins (The Darkness) and managed by Nick Brine (Engineer & Producer - Oasis, The Stone Roses, Teenage Fan Club, The Beta Band…). The studio boasts a huge converted barn as the main live room with other recording spaces off it. The studio is based around vintage analog gear combined with digital recording technology and has a client list currently including Seasick Steve, Katy Tunstall and Nick Cave. Leeders Farm is an excellent facility and an inspiring and creative place to record.

Wavelength Recording Studio

Wavelength studio is a high end yet affordable studio based in the North of England. Various folk musicians have recorded there, recently Jon Boden and Martin Simpson. The atmosphere is fantastic and the decor quirky. The large live space is acoustically fantastic and there is a large array of graet microphones and pre amps.

The Bunker Studios

The Bunker Studio is based in the leafy suburbs of Bristol with great access to the city centre, Motorways and Airport. They have a Protools HD rig with some nice pre amps and mics, along with 3 great seperation booths which all have great acoustics. The studio is light and airy and very relaxed! Recent visitors are Brooks Williams, Karen Tweed, Dave Goodier (Jethro Tull) and PJ Wright (LJE, PJ & Peggy). Well worth a visit, also a lovely bloke Bob runs the place!

Valve Recording Studio

Valve Studios is based in beautiful Yorkshire countryside just outside Hebden Bridge. It prides it’s self on being a primarily analog vintage studio, bussling with vintage and analog gear. Run by Des Horsfall, this studio is incredibly friendly and perfect for any retro projects…plus you are guaranteed a vast supply of homemade tea and cakes!

Axis Recording Studio

Axis studios is a legendary studio on the Sheffield scene. Based in a complex of popular studios it is 2 minutes walk to Sheffield station and 5 minutes to trhe middle of town. The live space is massive, which also houses a grand piano! There are seperate recording rooms and massive seperation panels make it entirely possible to work any combination of projects here. The control room is a great size and theres some beautiful mics and pre mps thrown in to.

Mobile Recording Rig

Don’t get confused about our mobile rig, this is a fully portable and proffesional studio! The Monitoring, Interfaces, Pre Amps and Microphone are of as higher quality as any high end studio. Recently this rig was used to record Uiscedwr’s new album (which is getting extensive radio play) in a barn near Sheffield, it has also been used to record several kerfuffle projects and other folk artists as well as major Cathedral Choirs, Orchestras and quite a few live Jazz CD’s. The sound quality is as good as a real studio yet you can work from home or a local hall etc…which can often work out financially and practically well!
